Yes, he wants you to jump in his car

Yes, it's been over a week. And so I can only make up for my abscence by offering goodies. In fact, we'll call today, Goody Monday.

First, for those of you, who, like me, just can't get enough Spoon, try this link. It's the band's label and they let you listen to all sorts of Spoon tracks for free. And you even get to see the strange, yet somehow pleasing, video for "Sister Jack."

Another goody to pass along: I've been trying to convince Becky for a couple weeks now that a Transformers movie is a good idea. She's having none of it. But somehow Blogger is onto me. They sent me here one day and now I know where to go when I'm wondering how production for the movie is going. I learned Bumblebee will be the new Chevy Camaro and Optimus Prime as a semi will look different too. Producers wanted to give him more mass.

For those of you curious about what an amateur Shawn Colvin may have sounded like and/or what Kristy Tew is doing these days, you can go here. It's actually pretty good stuff. Certainly better than social guitar. And absolutely better than Colors. Why won't they go away?

See it's not all about U2 here. Click on the video and get taken to a wonderful, psuedo-Europop dreamland where David Hasselhoff is your guide and you can ride in his car. Yes, KITT. If you don't live too far away. 'Cause if you do, you'll have to get out and walk. Really, it's the Hoff's own descent into his heart of darkness. We're powerless to stop him. It's astonishing.

Want more? Of course you do. He's on iTunes Australia. And if you really can't get enough of a depressing aging C-list celebrating trying to milk every last ounce of fame from sub-par accomplishments acheived 15 or 20 yers ago, just let me know. There's plenty more where that came from.

Oh, here's a plug for Apple. http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=155871591&s=143460

Hasselhoff 'not drunk' at airport
from the BBC

Former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff was unable to board a flight from the UK on Wednesday because he was ill, not drunk, his publicist has said.

Press reports claimed the actor, 54, was intoxicated and could not board the flight from Heathrow to Los Angeles.

Hasselhoff's publicist Judy Katz said that "was totally untrue" and that the actor felt unwell after taking some medication for a recent arm injury.

She said it was "his choice" not to get on the plane and he got a later flight.

"Due to a new medication prescribed on Tuesday by his doctor in London for an infection to his injured hand, Mr Hasselhoff became ill at Heathrow airport and requested to be put on a later flight," Ms Katz said in a statement.

She said Hasselhoff had been taking the antibiotics following a shaving accident - the actor is said to have bumped into a chandelier at a London hotel while shaving last month and shards of glass from the light fell and cut his arm.

"He left on a 12 noon British Airways flight," she added.

Ms Katz, who said she had been with Hasselhoff at the airport, denied claims he had been drinking beer and shots of whisky while waiting to board the early morning flight.

Earlier this month, the All England Club denied press reports that a "drunken" Hasselhoff had to be removed from the Wimbledon tennis championships.

Security guards "knew nothing" of the claims, said a spokeswoman, adding the former Baywatch star "wasn't ejected".

He tried to enter the press centre while searching for Court 13 but was not correctly accredited, she added.

The actor recently cancelled his debut Christmas pantomime role - playing Captain Hook in Peter Pan at the New Wimbledon Theatre, in south-west London.

It clashed with a reality TV series in which he is due to judge aspiring performers alongside former Mirror editor Piers Morgan and singer Brandy.

Hasselhoff, whose divorce from Pamela Bach was finalised on Thursday, spent 11 years playing Mitch Buchannon in TV's Baywatch. He also starred in Knight Rider.

How far the mighty have fallen. Not even Michael Knight can save him now.
